I went on a binge today...at Michael's of all places. I go through spurts of craftiness, buy a bunch of crap, then never get around to it. This time I started kind of small (yarn, yarn and some scrapbooking stuff). I'm not the scrapbookie-type, but figure I've got a kid now and maybe I should be doing something to show him when he gets bigger. But he's a boy, so will he even care?

I wasn't planning on buying yarn, but I saw this taupe Lion Brand yarn and was inspired. I liked the color, and after sticking a skein on each side of my sons head (like Princess Lea buns) I realized there was no color more perfect for him than this. So I bought as many as I could find in one dye lot (about 7) because I would rather take one or two back than not have enough, which is what seems to ALWAYS happen. Now I need to decide on a project. In a postpartum fit of anger and frustration I threw out my beloved Trellis that I had unraveled to make a smaller size. Now me and my pocketbook wish I hadn't. I love the color I had originally used, and still plan on eventually remaking it, sometime really soon. Now do I make one in each color, just one in 12 mos. and the other in 18? Or just make a different project with it all together?
While flinging taupe yarn into my shopping cart I also noticed the perfect charcoal yarn to make the Debbie Bliss Donkey Jacket. So I had to get that too.

And pictures of an uber-cute baby who thinks yarn is fun too, just in a very different way...

So, knitting-wise, I think I'M BACK!!! (Kind of)...
