Happy Valentines Day! I hope you all have someone to enjoy the day with. I made my love a yummy dinner at home since we went out for sushi Friday night. Our dinner tonight was steak, lobster tail, garlic red mashed potatoes, asparagus and red velvet cake for dessert. De-lish. It was pretty easy to prepare except the lobster caught on fire in the broiler! Hahaha...something was bound to go wrong. My awesome and amazing husband gave me this print, as well as the leopard corset below. I've wanted this print for sometime, and luckily this one was still available. It's an Angelique Houtkamp print. If you don't know her stuff. Check out her
site. Beautiful designs. I'm really stoked!

Corsets are something I wear a lot these days as dressy outerwear with jeans and heels or flats. I'm sure vintage girls around the world are cringing at the thought of it right? This is southern California where I can get away with it while still giving off a bit of my style. I used to over dress daily in pretty dresses an heels from 18-21 but now I don't fit in most of my dresses (thanks to birthing my adorable children and never having the time or energy for the gym), and like the effortlessness of this- with pants on of course!

See? We went out to a concert Friday night and this was my outfit. Pretty plain, but dressed up with my corset. I will admit that I need to teach myself to do some vintage hairstyles. I have the books, I just need to not be a lazy ass.
